16. Alien: Isolation
It’s easy to approach Alien: Isolation like it’s just another first-person horror game with a stalker-like enemy that’s after you. However, Creative Assembly went much further, imbuing the Xenomorph with incredible intelligence and really turning this into a cat-and-mouse game of terror. Of course, offering a compelling atmosphere, story and pacing that fit right at home in the Alien universe also didn’t hurt.
