Final Fantasy 7 Remake
When updating Final Fantasy 7 for a new generation, Square Enix had to set aside many of the old conventions of turn-based combat and presentation. Final Fantasy 7 Remake may not be the most cutting edge in terms of graphics but it does offer a significant revamp of Gaia, the struggles adorning its characters like Cloud, Tifa and Barrett, and more involving combat. Whether that clashes with one’s inherent nostalgia or just offers a better telling of the classic RPG tale remains to be seen.
