This is one fact that I was not aware of at all. Because she was so awesome (for a silent protagonist) in Portal that they simply had to put Chell in the sequel, but that was not the case originally. Chet Faliszek and Erik Wolpaw, the Valve writers originally thought that they were done with Chell when Portal was completed.
