Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was originally supposed to release during the Holiday season this year but was since delayed to March 2016. The developer stated that the game required more polish but in a recent interview with OPM (via GamesRadar), co-director Neil Druckmann said it was also delayed to get the ending just right since this will be Nathan Drake’s final adventure. It also seems there’s something special at the end that took lots of time to get right.

“It was a very hard decision. Even when I’m describing the ending, it’s a pretty… Well, I guess this is a little bit of a spoil… Nah, I’m not going to say it! But there is something that happens that requires quite a bit of work for what we want it to do. And again, we would have had to reduce that scope and reduce that ambition to meet that [original] deadline.”

While the delay would’ve obviously been a major bummer for fans, Druckmann and his team want to make the game as perfect as possible. “It was going to disappoint [fans] to push this thing back. But this is the last chapter for Nathan Drake, so let’s give ourselves as much time as possible and go all-out for this series.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is out on March 18th 2016 for PS4.
