Uncharted 4 Gameplay Kicks Off PlayStation Experience, Looks Stunning

Nathan Drake returns, looking better than ever,

After much jaw-jacking, Sony finally kicked off its first annual PlayStation Experience event with gameplay footage from Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The footage is marked as playing in real-time on a PS4 console and you can check it out above.

The gameplay demo shows Drake moving from a cliffside view of the ocean to a dark cave with waterfalls. The water is beautifully rendered with several real-time shadow sources. The moss and textures on the plants are highly detailed as well. Make sure you view it in HD – there’s a lot to take in and anything less just doesn’t do it justice.

Gameplay-wise, it seems like the Uncharted 4 we know and love with Nathan Drake being his usual wise-cracking self. The rope climbing mechanics and sneaking are quite snazzy and there are plenty of different approaches to levels. Just try to ignore that one bug that pops up – the game is still in development after all.

What are your thoughts on the gameplay for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and did it live up to your expectations? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates from PS Experience.
