Yesterday, Bethesda announced that Wolfenstein: Youngblood would be launching in July, and that when it does, it’ll be releasing day and date on the Nintendo Switch as well, continuing the great support the publisher has lent to the hybrid system over the last couple of years. Now, in an FAQ put up by the publisher on its website, some new details have come to light as well.
While Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s development is being handled by series custodians MachineGames, with support provided by Arkane Studios, Bethesda has confirmed that the Switch port is being handled by Panic Button. Panic Button have, of course, become experts of sorts on Switch ports, especially for Bethesda’s games. They’ve helped bring DOOM and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus to the system, and are doing the same for the upcoming DOOM Eternal as well.
Considering the surprisingly good quality of the aforementioned ports, the fact that Panic Button are also handling Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s Switch release is certainly cause for optimism. The game launches on July 26 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and of course, the Nintendo Switch.
