Sega’s iconic hedgehog made the jump to 3D with Sonic Adventure, and even though it wasn’t considered as big of a leap for the franchise as, say, Super Mario 64 was for Mario, it was still considered to be a very enjoyable platforming experience. As time has gone on, Sonic Adventure has only looked worse and worse in retrospect. A bad story and bad voice acting are, sadly enough, to be expected in Sonic games, but even beyond that, negotiating with the game’s eccentric camera and its unintuitive controls often makes the experience more of a chore than anything else.
