Additional RAM in Xbox 360 was Epic’s doing
The Xbox 360 launched with 512 MB of RAM way back when and compared to the Xbox One’s 8 GB DDR3 RAM, that really isn’t a lot. Then again, it would have been 256 MB if Microsoft had its way. Thankfully, Epic Games fought with the company to have 512 MB of RAM and did so by showcasing Gears of War running at half the amount. The final game was enough to convince Microsoft that the investment was worth it so all’s well that ends well.
