Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
The first Metroid Prime made waves with its fidelity and 60 FPS frame rate, not to mention the incredible detail that gave the illusion of bump-mapping. Metroid Prime 2 didn’t reinvent the wheel so much as expanded on its predecessor with new environments and mechanics. Samus and the various enemies remain as beautifully detailed and animated as ever while the entire world felt more vibrant. All in all, a great follow-up that continued Samus’s 3D journey in incredible fashion.
