Eagle eyed players of Doom 3 may have noticed a strange IP address in one of the game’s emails. It was meant to look like a futuristic website, but if you remove several numbers it becomes a modern IP address that can be tinkered with using a reverse DNS to get idsoftware.com – the website of Doom developer id Software. It’s a clever way to give a nod to those that made the terrific horror shooter
