Far Cry 3
In Far Cry 3’s Rook Islands you’re never far from something engaging going on. What the game’s main storyline lacks, the Islands’ diversions more than make up for it. In short: free roaming is oftentimes chaotic, and always varied. One minute you’re infiltrating a base, next you’re careening through jungle delivering supplies to remote rebels, or you’re base jumping in a wingsuit, or fighting off a random bear attack, or getting ambushes by pirates. Far Cry 3 continually throws up surprises and absolutely nails the balance between too empty and too full.
