WARCRAFT
You would expect Blizzard would want to stick to an established formula when it came to Warcraft, one of the most successful and beloved strategy franchises of all time- but Blizzard took a risk with World of Warcraft, turning it into an MMORPG, and clearly, it was one that paid off, and continues to pay off even today. The genre is synonymous with the game, and for many years, so was the entire industry at large. World of Warcraft has become an institution in and of itself- let’s just hope we see more of classic Warcraft strategy games soon as well.
