Kratos goes through some pretty terrible stuff in the original trilogy but the new God of War literally starts with his wife’s funeral. Having lived in Midgard for a while, the Ghost of Sparta now sports a beard and more gruff personality, which suits the up close and personal combat. Not to mention that he’s actually ashamed of his actions, covering up the chain scars on his hands with bandages. Though better at controlling his temper, Kratos is still the beast we know and love when his anger gets loose.
