Blizzard always had this talent of attracting all kinds of players, even those who didn’t play the genre in question. In the case of Overwatch, it wasn’t just the amazing characters, the appealing visuals or the excellent gameplay that drew us in. It was all of it packaged into easy, drop-in and drop-out matches that could range from competitive and frustrating to meme-tastic and bizarre. Learning to get good, which heroes synergized well, how to exploit maps and just work as a team was addictive. And even those who “quit” Overwatch will still find themselves back at it, yet again.
