Leave the Party
An ideal companion sticks with you through thick and thin, so when they suddenly leave you, it’s sad. Of course, video games recreate that feeling since your AI companions can split suddenly and without warning. Upset your companions in role playing games? Say goodbye, and if you gave them any good armor and weapons, they’ll take those too, because why not? It’s a recurring situation in many RPGs, but many thankfully have the foresight to not hold your hard-earned equipment hostage.
