Strong Low Skill Heroes

While we’re on the topic of hero shooters, what is with having a low skill tier hero having the biggest impact? Again, see the Mercy meta or when Brigitte first launched in Overwatch, the latter putting very little effort into eliminating flankers. While one could argue that heroes like Ana, Widowmaker and Hanzo take skill or that the current meta requires a different kind of skill, there’s no denying that Overwatch has suffered from long periods of low skill tier heroes dominating the top ranks.
