Counterplay Games is lacing its hack and slash combat with haptic feedback as well, which react when players attack or block. Each weapon in the game will feel different, especially depending on the Valorplate equipped, so you’ll actually feel the difference between a Warhammer and Polearm (though how the triggers will modulate resistance remains to be seen). But haptic feedback also provides a different feeling based on whether you’re walking across marble floors or fiery surfaces. It’s an interesting little detail that makes each arena come alive along with the combat.
