Gears 5 Horde Reveal and Campaign Trailer
The Coalition had much to reveal about Gears 5 heading into Gamescom and didn’t disappoint. It showcased Horde mode, the return of the classic co-op experience as players mow down waves of enemies. This time, characters have signature Ultimates like airstrikes and invisibility while Power can now be used to upgrade one’s Skill Cards. You can even play as Jack the robot and hijack enemies to devastating effect. Then we had more campaign footage in a short but impactful trailer which featured exploration, combat and the return of war to Sera. Overall, a pretty good showing for the game, especially since it’s out in the next few weeks.
