There were 13 years separating the beginning of Nioh’s development and its eventual launch, but thankfully, we’re not going to have to wait nearly as long for its sequel. Nioh 2 is looking excellent, and for fans of the first game, it’s hitting all the notes it needs to, taking the excellent foundation laid down by its predecessor and building on it even further. The crazy elements seem to have been dialled up to 11, while the combat is looking at mechanically solid as ever. March 13 can’t get here soon enough.
