Final Fantasy 7 Remake

FF VII Remake

Ever since that fateful PS3 demo E3 2005 showcased the original opening in gorgeous updated graphics, fans have demanded a remake of Final Fantasy 7. It seemed like a no-brainer especially since it’s one of the most significant Final Fantasy titles till date. Lo and behold, the remake was teased for the first time at E3 2015. Gameplay would debut at the PlayStation Experience event that same year. However, the development process hasn’t exactly been the smoothest – Square Enix originally worked with CyberConnect2 but this meant a lot of coordination was required. Eventually, the remake was shifted to an internal team at Square Enix. The developer also decided to split the game it into multiple parts, adding new content and updating character designs to maintain that realistic feel. Combined with the revamped combat, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will definitely play like a different title but will it maintain the original’s signature feel?
