Hollow Knight
Like many great games on this list, it’s hard to quantify everything that makes Hollow Knight so great. The superlative platforming and combat, absolutely gorgeous art design, amazing boss fights – all of this only adds to the great Metroidvania structure. In short, play it, especially with all of the DLC and quality of life features added over time.
