Keen Games’ addition to the survival crafting genre is a curious one. Building and resource gathering is important, sure, but so is venturing out into the Shrouded Roots, exploring massive ruins and Hollow Halls, and cultivating an arsenal. The nature of customization means more free-form build-crafting, and while the combat could use a bit more nuance, it can feel responsive and satisfying.
