Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor wasn’t just one of Monolith’s most memorable titles – it also introduced one of the most innovative mechanics till date with the Nemesis system. Manipulating the hierarchy of Orcs and creating terrifying Nemeses through your various battles, who would become stronger, kept the experience fresh and fun. Of course, it also didn’t hurt that the combat and stealth were very well done, mixing the best of Batman: Arkham and Assassin’s Creed series while still feeling fresh.
