Developed by Housemarque games that has recently joined the PlayStation’s first party studio roster, Returnal puts players into the shoes of Selene – an astronaut that has been seemingly trapped in an eternal cycle of life and death on the planet of Atropos, and you must find a way to break this time loop. Returnal mixes its white-knuckle bullet-hell shooter gameplay with a sci-fi story that’s surprisingly personal to the protagonist, which makes Returnal one of the best roguelikes on the platform.
