After the underwhelming critical reception of Marvel’s Avengers, it’s safe to say that the anticipation for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was rather tepid. But Eidos Montreal knocked it out of the park with this story-driven adventure, and delivered a game that successfully told a captivating tale of the Guardians learning to work together as a team and overcoming nigh impossible odds. Add to that sharp writing and unique gameplay, and Guardians of the Galaxy becomes a blockbuster experience that’s unmissable for fans of the source material.
