Godfall
Counterplay Games’ co-op action RPG combines hack and slash combat with loot mechanics, resulting in a looter slasher experience. The story sees the last of the Knight’s Order journeying through various elemental realms to defeat Macros, who’s looking to end the world. At their disposal is a variety of Valorplates, which confer different abilities and perks, and five weapon classes, from the hefty great sword to dual blades. More details on the end-game have yet to be revealed but Godfall isn’t a games-as-a-service title, nor does it have microtransactions so that’s a good start. It’s out in late 2020 for PS5 and PC.
