PlayStation Experience: 5 Big Reveals That Could Happen At Sony’s Grand Event

Sony is looking to end the year with a bang with its upcoming mega event, the PlayStation Experience. The event promises to hold several developer panels, key notes, playable demos of upcoming AAA titles along with some big announcements. The event will be attended by some of the biggest first party and third party publishers/developers from the games industry including Activision, Naughty Dog and Ubisoft.

So what are some of the big reveals that might happen during the two day event? Below is a list of games which we think might make an appearance during the event.

A Possible Teaser Trailer For Guerrilla Games’ Open World RPG

Horizon PS4

Guerrilla Games are one of the developers on the list that is confirmed to be attending the PlayStation Experience. The team is working on an open world sci-fi role playing game under the code name Horizon. Interestingly, last week Guerrilla Games were looking for a Media Intern for producing trailers. Could this be a hint that the Killzone developer will be revealing its AAA open world RPG next week with a teaser video? With only a week to go for the PlayStation Experience, this cannot be a mere coincidence. However we will wait and see how this pans out.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – More Information And Possible New Trailer

Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

Naughty Dog will be in full attendance at the PlayStation Experience. They even have a developer panel confirmed where they will be talking about how they built the E3 2014 teaser trailer. Given that the game is expected to release next year, Team PlayStation might very well use this opportunity to drop in a real time trailer and make us drool all over again. If not, we can certainly expect a lot of technical details to be revealed along with talks on the challenges that Naughty Dog faced during the development process of Uncharted 4.

Sucker Punch’s New Title

inFamous Second Son and Last Light were fantastic titles that showcased PlayStation 4’s technical prowess. But what is Sucker Punch currently working on is anyone’s guess. There have been hints in the past that they might be working on a new game which has compelling and believable characters. But that is merely an assumption on our part. There is a chance that they might announce a new Sly game given that it was a critical and commercial success on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Square Enix Possibly Reveals Its New Console RPG

So, this one is not a surprise as Square Enix have already made it clear that they will be announcing a new role playing game in December. However we are not sure whether the announcement will take place via a press release, at the PlayStation Experience or The Game Awards. There is also a possibility that it might be announced at Jump Festa which takes place later next month. It must be noted that Square Enix is listed as one of the companies that will be attending the PlayStation Experience so there is a good chance that the announcement will happen there.

Media Molecule’s PS4 Project

Media Molecule announced during Gamescom 2013 that they are working on a PlayStation 4 game. Back then they showcased an intriguing tech demo but since then we hardly have any information on how that new game is shaping up. It also must be noted that MM are working on Tearaway Unfolded for PS4, a heavily modified version of the original Tearaway that launched on the PlayStation Vita. Expect a lot of Tearaway Unfolded info to drop during the PlayStation Experience and just may be a teaser trailer for their other PlayStation 4 project.
