Xbox Game Studios Working on “Big Summer Plans” – Microsoft

Next week's Inside Xbox is more of a "typical pre-E3 beat" as per Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg.

Xbox Series X

Microsoft recently announced that it would host an Inside Xbox episode on May 7th dedicated to showcasing Xbox Series X titles. It emphasized its global developer partners though with Ubisoft further confirming that gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla would debut. What about first party studios though?

Rumors indicated that Microsoft would have two events, one in May and the other in June. It seems that Aaron Greenberg, general manager in charge of Xbox Games marketing at Microsoft, has substantiated this. In a recent tweet, he stated that he was, “So pumped to see our partners showing us a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay next week! Also know the Xbox Game Studios teams are hard at work on some big summer plans. More details soon.”

The mention of “Xbox Game Studios” teams seems to point towards first party studios like 343 Industries, Playground Games and so on. We know about 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite releasing this holiday season with the Xbox Series X. But what about rumored titles like Fable 4, developed by Playground Games, or even the next Forza? It would make sense to give them their own spotlight.

Greenberg also noted in a separate tweet that next week’s showcase, “Is timed as more of a typical pre-E3 beat and to give a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay from our partners. We got a lot to share this summer and heading into holiday, so will give more details on that next week too!”

In the meantime, stay tuned for more details about the Xbox Series X showcase next week.
