Publications recently got to go hands-on with CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, detailing the different Life Paths one could take and how the game felt to play. It’s probably not surprising that an Easter egg for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the developer’s mega-hit RPG, could be in the game. However, it’s probably not what you’re expecting.

GameSpot played through the opening hours of the Corporate Life Path, where V works for megacorporation Arasaka. Upon heading into V’s shared office and checking her desk, a magazine about retro gaming can be found and it talks about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as its “game of the month”. Ciri, the deuteragonist of the game, is on the cover.

Fans of The Witcher 3 will remember a scene where Ciri visited other dimensions, including one that seemingly described the futuristic Night City. While this Easter egg seemingly debunks that theory, it’s possible that the world of The Witcher really does exist as an alternate dimension. So don’t count out a Ciri cameo just yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on November 19th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can check out gameplay from the Nomad Life Path here or learn more about the Braindance mechanic here.
