Things have been fairly quiet for Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the developers behind acclaimed rogue-lite Dead Cells, for the past few months. The developers offered an update and revealed that some new content would be coming in mid-December. Players can expect a new weapon, new enemy and a new lore room.

Additional skins and a new diet option will also be added. While the list may seem fairly short, there are a “few other changes” currently being tested that can’t be confirmed just yet. We’ll have to wait for more details in the coming weeks but the development team also promised a few pieces of “bigger news dropping over the next couple of months too.”

Dead Cells released in August 2018 and is currently available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, iOS and Android. It received its first paid DLC, The Bad Seed, earlier this year which brought two new biomes, new weapons and a new boss. Subsequent free updates like Barrels o’Fun also added a new biome and new weapons like the Barrel Launcher and Tesla Coil.
