Microsoft and Bethesda are holding off until Summer to reveal the bulk of their immediate plans for the near future, but some of their first steps together since the latter’s acquisition was finalized have already been revealed. 20 Bethesda titles – including the likes of several DOOM, Dishonored, and Wolfenstein games – were recently added to Xbox Game Pass, for instance, and Microsoft plans on doing more stuff with several of those games in coming weeks and months.

In the Xbox Wire post announcing the addition of these games to the Xbox Game Pass library, it was also confirmed that a handful of these titles will also be receiving support for FPS Boost on Xbox Series X/S soon, which will boost their frame rates on a system level. The same was also confirmed in yesterday’s Microsoft-Bethesda roundtable discussion. Microsoft says it will have more news to share on that soon.

Fallout 4 already runs at an enhanced frame rate on Xbox Series S (though it doesn’t support FPS Boost just yet), but it’ll be interesting to see which other Bethesda games will see similar enhancements in the near future. Games such as DOOM and Wolfenstein in particular would really benefit from higher frame rates, so fingers crossed those are in line for FPS Boost support as well.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated on this, so stay tuned.
