Game Overview:
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is a fighting game developed by Sega AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega.
It is a remake of the original Virtua Fighter 5, developed on the Dragon Engine.
The DLC pack contains 19 character costumes, a new battle user interface, 20 background tracks, and a remade theme from Tekken 7.
SEGA announces the collaboration of their 3D fighting game with Bandai Namco's Tekken 7, where new costumes based on Tekken characters, along with HUD customization and a new stage, will be added.
"Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will let us know whether there are demands and potentials for Virtua Fighter," says chief producer Seiji Aoki.
Ultimate Showdown successfully revives an excellent fighting game at a very interesting time for the genre.
It contains some 2,000 customization items, the original Virtua Fighter stages, music from all across the series, Spectator Stamps and much more.
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown and Slay the Spire will also be available on the service until July 5th and December 6th, respectively.
Sega is still using delay-based netcode because the game is built on Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, which uses delay-based netcode.
The PS4 title's opening movie has also been revealed. Along with releasing on June 1st for PS Plus, it launches on June 2nd for arcades in Japan.
Operation: Tango is also part of the service's June lineup in what's looking like a pretty solid month for subscribers.
Built on the Dragon Engine, with updated visuals, new music, improved user interface, and more.
The other PS Plus games for June are rumored to be Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation Tango. The new Virtua Fighter has not been announced for PS4.
It looks to be an updated version of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown.
The art was published on PSN, as well as an alternate title: Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown.
