Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged

As the rumors claimed, Milestone’s Hot Wheels Unleashed, an arcade racing title based on the famous miniature cars, is getting a sequel. Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged launches on October 19th for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Check out the announcement trailer below, which sadly doesn’t feature gameplay.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged features over 130 vehicles with new types like Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, motorbikes and ATVs added. There’s also a new system for each vehicle category, upgradeable with a skill tree. Other additions include five new locations, like a mini-golf course in a Wild West village or the backyard of a suburban house.

More importantly, different types of terrain will affect your handling more significantly, so you’ll need to adjust accordingly. New moves like Lateral Dash and Single/Double Jump are also available for circumventing barriers or finding shortcuts. The return of Track Editor, an improved Livery Editor, and a new campaign mode also await. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
