With Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s release now less than a month away, excitement surrounding the action RPG is hitting fever pitch, and Square Enix and Sony are set to crank that up even further with an upcoming State of Play presentation dedicated entirely to the game. Allegedly, as part of that presentation, a demo will also be announced.

That’s as per the PlayStation Store-tracking Twitter user @PlaystationSize, who has claimed the Square Enix will announce a demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at its upcoming demonstration. Players who play the demo will reportedly also earn an in-game bonus in the full game in the form of the Kupo Charm Survival Set.

For years, Square Enix has been in the consistent habit of putting out pre-launch demos for the majority of its games – Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 both also got demos – so it isn’t surprising in the slightest that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also seemingly receiving the same treatment. When exactly the demo will release remains to be seen, but given that it’s a demo, we’re assuming it will be very soon after the State of Play presentation, or perhaps even as a shadow drop.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29 for PS5.
