Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play

To cap off the latest State of Play, Sony confirmed another one for February 6th. It’s focused on only one title – Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which launches later this month exclusively for PS5.

The publisher will share new gameplay details and “other exciting news” that players won’t want to miss. The second part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga sees Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret and Red XIII venturing outside of Midgar to pursue Sephiroth. They venture to classic locations like Junon (and new places like Crow’s Nest) and team up with other characters like Cait Sith and Yuffie.

Cid and Vincent Valentine also appear though they’re not playable. Players will also discover new mini-games like Queen’s Blood and piano playing, engage in Chocobo Racing and delve into numerous side quests. About 100 hours of gameplay are promised, with the story taking 40 hours to complete.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29th. Check out the latest gameplay here and more information here.
