Forza Horizon 6 is officially out on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and finally ventures to one of the most requested locations in the series: Japan. It had previously promised that Tokyo City would be one of its “most detailed and layered environments,” and based on the gameplay snippets shown, it wasn’t kidding. In fact, it’s five times larger than anything that Playground has designed before.

There are multiple districts to explore, each with its own unique identity. And while discovering something on every road is nice, it’s also good to have a place to call your own. To that end, player-owned housing returns, but each house also comes with a customizable garage. It can hold several cars, and you can even invite friends over to hang out.

But what about building and customizing an entire mountain valley to your liking? That’s what The Estate is for, letting you turn the empty landscape into a bustling facility.

Other notable new features include open-world Car Meets, where you interact with other players and engage in Touge Battles – classic street races down the mountainside. You also have Horizon Time Attack Circuits, where participants can seamlessly enter a race – no loading or matchmaking required.

And if that wasn’t enough, Playground Games teased a collaboration with a giant mecha at the end. My heart says Mobile Suit Gundam, but I would settle for Macross as well.
