After Phoenix Cyclops, Arc System Works has revealed the remaining three DLC characters coming to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls in Year 1. In Winter 2027 (so early next year), it’s Thor…but not the one you’re thinking. Instead, Jane Foster takes up Mjölnir to fight for Earth’s survival against the Champion. Check out the trailer below.
She’s followed by Venom and the first new stage, Klyntar, in Spring 2027. Finally, the X-Men’s Jubilee debuts in Summer 2027. Only concept art is available for the latter two, but we should see gameplay closer to their respective releases, so stay tuned. Suffice it to say, though, that very few probably expected these additions to the roster.
As for Phoenix Cyclops, he’s out on November 2nd, and has already impressed with his Dark Phoenix form. By collecting Solar Shards during combat, players can transform and unleash more powerful attacks for a period. There’s a cooldown afterwards, but Scott Summers has shown he’s far from defenseless during this transition.
