Sony recently announced that, as per rumors, it will showcase PlayStation 5 titles next week. One game that is suspected to appear is Bluepoint Games’ next remake, which the studio has noted will “define the visual benchmark for next-gen”. Following the showcase announcement, CTO Peter Dalton tweeted about his excitement for the future.

“It is time to push forward and leave our old gaming limitations behind us,” said Dalton. Which adds more fuel to the company’s next game being at the showcase. We’ll have to wait until June 4th, 1 PM PDT to be sure but the excitement is palpable.

The PlayStation 5 is currently slated to release in holiday 2020 and as per Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and president Jim Ryan, it will be a global launch. Ryan also spoke about providing the best “value proposition” to consumers though he didn’t comment on the console’s price. It’s unlikely we’ll even see the physical console in the upcoming showcase but there will be more updates from Sony in the weeks to come. As always, stay tuned.
