In a New Year Greeting 2022 post on Famitsu, Capcom recently talked about the upcoming DLC for Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village.

As per the translations done by Siliconera, Capcom talked about the expansion pack of Monster Hunter Rise, called Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, launching in Summer 2022. Sunbreak is still under development, and plans on adding new and old monsters from the series. The company once again confirmed the release date of Monster Hunter Rise for PC via Steam to be January 12, just a few days from now. Previously, Capcom confirmed that more details on Sunbreak will be revealed in Spring 2022.

For Resident Evil, Capcom mentioned that they want to provide the titles in the series in multiple ways for more players to enjoy the games. There was no mentioning of platforms, but it might be that the company is planning on remastering or remaking more titles in near future (a Resident Evil 4 remake has been heavily rumoured for a while). As for Resident Evil Village, the game will be getting DLC in 2022, though no additional details were mentioned about the same. Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Village will be getting DLC back last year.

Capcom also mentioned that 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter and Mega Man series, though did not mention any special events or releases planned for the same. That said, rumours and leaks have strongly suggested that Street Fighter 6 will launch in 2022.

For now, Capcom is gearing up to release of Monster Hunter Rise for PC via Steam, which is dropping on January 12. The game is currently available to play on Nintendo Switch, while Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will release sometime in Summer 2022 for both platforms.
