Arkane Lyon’s co-creative director Dinga Bakaba, who was the co-director on the recently released Deathloop, is now the new head of the studio. According to VGC, Bakaba took over the role in October after the departure of Romuald Capron. He will still function as co-creative director along with Sebastien Mitton, who also co-directed Deathloop and serves as Arkane Lyon’s art director.

Having joined the studio in November 2010, Bakaba has worked on a number of titles. He was the lead designer for Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider along with directing Wolfenstein: Youngblood. It should be interesting to see what direction the studio goes in under his leadership.

As for Deathloop, it’s currently available for PS5 and PC – check out our review here and the accolades trailer here to learn more about its critical reception. It’s a one-year timed exclusive to Sony’s console but should arrive for Xbox Series X/S after its exclusivity period ends on September 14th 2022.
