Diablo 4’s next season begins on January 23rd, with a timer counting down the end of Season of Blood displayed in-game. In the meantime, Blizzard Entertainment has announced its next Developer Update Livestream for January 18th at 9 AM PST. It will provide new details on the Season Journey, quality of life updates and The Gauntlet, a new “competitive leaderboard system.”

The livestream will feature game design manager Daniel Tanguay, quest designer Madeleine James and lead class designer Adam Jackson, who will also answer questions at the end. Nothing is known about Season 3, aside from its addition of Weekly Challenge Dungeons, but a new teaser is available on Twitter.

It notes, “Unimaginable arcane power stirs,” with footage of various gears turning before ending with the words, “Evil looms.” Stay tuned for details from the Developer Update as soon as it goes live.

Diablo 4 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. A paid expansion, Vessel of Hatred, launches late this year, with more information coming this Summer.
