Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out next week for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, and what better way to prepare than a near eight-minute gameplay overview with legendary actor Ian McShane? Check it out below, as McShane covers the story, setting, combat, Pawns and various threats that plague the world.

Like the original, the story sees the Dragon cursing a single individual, stealing their heart and turning them into the Arisen. Seeking to retrieve their heart, the player enlists the help of Pawns, some from other worlds. They can also choose different Vocations, from melee fighters like the Fighter and Warrior to support classes like the Trickster and tackle enemies ranging from harpies and undead to minotaurs and the Dullahan.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has two nations to explore – Vermund and Battahl – with over 1,000 characters to encounter. Though noted as four times larger than the first game’s world, the development team believes it may be even bigger. We’ll find out for ourselves when the sequel launches on March 22nd.

In the meantime, check out some of the latest details here. A free Character Creator is also available for players to craft their Arisen and Main Pawn to transfer to the game at launch.
