Dying Light 2

Techland has spoken a lot about the story and setting for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, and how it will immerse players into caring about The City and its characters. This, of course, means lots of dialogue and in a new tweet, the developer confirmed that there would be 40,000 lines of dialogue in the game. That’s some 350,000 words which is no small feat.

Players likely won’t encounter all of this in a single playthrough since their decisions can affect who becomes an ally or foe. It’s already confirmed that one will need 500 hours to complete everything that the game has to offer. If you stick to the main story and side missions, that’s still about 80 hours of playtime.

Either way, expect a much meatier story than the first game. Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out on February 4th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC (with the Nintendo Switch version recently being delayed). Check out the newest trailer here along with the final episode of Dying 2 Know which features gameplay comparing the previous and current-gen console versions.
