After numerous teases, Rockfish Games revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live that it’s next space shooter was indeed Everspace 2. The title will be hitting Steam Early Access for PC in the second half of 2020. A full release is scheduled for 2021. Check out the trailer below to see how the game looks.
Along with the usual journey filled with dangerous encounters and customization, players will venture into high-risk, high-reward areas which can reward some great gear. Promising a “virtually endless supply of ships” to collect, Everspace 2 will see you combat everything from drones to capital ships. If you were a fan of the synergies and combat in the first game, then plenty more awaits here.
Trading will also be a big deal as players scour for the best items and sell them based on what’s in demand. Protecting that precious cargo will also be important though, make no mistake. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming year especially as more gameplay emerges.
