Ubisoft’s Far Cry 6 has gone gold, according to the game’s official Twitter account. Principle development is finished and the title is ready for manufacturing along with certification on various platforms. It’s out on October 7th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia.
The story focuses on Dani Rojas, a local of Yara who seeks to escape from the despotic rule of “El Presidente” Anton Castillo. Unfortunately, Castillo catches up with the refugee boat that Dani is on and proceeds to slaughter almost everyone aboard. After surviving the encounter, Dani looks for vengeance and will join up with the Libertad to do so, ideally freeing Yara in the process.
Boasting the biggest open world in the series yet, along with the largest collection of weapons yet, Far Cry 6 has been developed by Ubisoft Toronto in collaboration with nine other Ubisoft studios. Head here to check out the gameplay and here for an overview on pretty much everything, like co-op support for the entire campaign.
