Following its official announcement at the recent State of Play presentation, the demo for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is now available to download for PS5. It features the Nibelheim episode, where Cloud and Sephiroth venture to the mountain village before the events of Remake. Players can control either character, complete with unique Synergy Abilities and Skills. Check out the trailer below.

Of course, that’s not all – in a surprising twist, Square Enix will also add a playable area in the Junon region to the demo. It will go live on February 21st, though players must complete the Nibelheim episode first. Though the scale hasn’t been outlined, it should showcase the sense of exploration and freedom that players can expect.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is out on February 29th. It ships on two discs, requiring 150 GB of installation space and promising 100 hours of gameplay. Head here for the final trailer, and check out the world map here. You can also learn more about how your bonds affect the gameplay and the new Folios system.
