Square Enix will showcase Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in a new State of Play at 3:30 PM PT on February 6th. While it seemed poised to drop a demo for the title before its launch later this month, it’s now all but confirmed courtesy of a leaked ad.

As Wario64 shared on Twitter, an ad on the PlayStation 5’s dashboard appeared for the demo, indicating that it’s available now (which is not the case). It notes that players can “step into the shoes of either Cloud or Sephiroth during the Nibelheim episode.” Players can play the opening chapter and venture through the world map, though how extensive that freedom will be remains to be seen.

The trailer likely went live early and should broadcast during the upcoming State of Play. Square will also reveal new gameplay details, so stay tuned later today. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29th for PS5. Reviews reportedly go live on February 22nd. The Trophies and total number of chapters have also allegedly been revealed – head here for more details.
