The game itself will remain alive, and previous season passes will be made available again, but Square Enix won't be releasing any new content updates.
Season 6, "Diamond Jam", is also available, adding five new Smash the Star maps, new bosses in Squad Missions, and more.
Foamstars will be getting new maps, cosmetics, and other new content as part of its fourth season, titled Future Funk.
Chloe Noir joins the roster, while new Skill Gems look to mix up the gameplay. Ranked modes and Extreme Parties are also inbound.
A new Foamstar, two new Extreme Party modes, a boss fight against Dark Ramzey, and new seasonal skins are also incoming.
Square Enix's party shooter is free with PlayStation Plus until March 4th. The launch also coincides with Season 1: Starry Pop.
Seasons will last five weeks, though the length and timing could change. The party shooter is out on February 6th for PS4 and PS5.
Players can also partake in Happy Friyay Party twice a month on the weekends to try out the Foamstar coming in the next season.
Foamstars and Rollerdrome are for PS4 and PS5, but Steelrising is exclusive to PS5. All three are available from February 6th to March 4th.
There's also the possibility of more single-player content post-launch if it would "benefit the game", per producer Kosuke Okatani.
The publisher wants to ensure that core gameplay elements, like new characters, modes or maps, will be free for all players.
Producer Kosuke Okatani acknowledges the comparisons, but "having the things you shoot stay on the field is very unique.”
The 4v4 party shooter releases with three modes and is available for PlayStation Plus subscribers from launch till March 4th.
The 4v4 party shooter was previously announced to launch in early 2024 for PS4 and PS5. It also had an open beta last year.
The developer says user access is "currently concentrated," resulting in errors, and advises affected players to queue again.
The open beta is free to play and offers two 4v4 modes - Smash the Star and Happy Bath Survival - with eight playable characters.
