MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact debuted strong in September but there’s seemingly no stopping its momentum. According to Sensor Tower, the free to play action RPG has generated $393 million on mobiles in its first two months. In terms of revenue generated from September 28th to November 28th, it’s ranked second, just ahead of PUBG Mobile. Keep in mind that this doesn’t account for revenue generated on PC and PS4.
Over $120 million revenue comes from China, which makes up 30.5 percent of the total. However, Japan is close behind with $98 million in revenue, followed by the United States with $74 million. The Apple App Store had the most player spending with over $226 million in revenue. Google Play accounted for $167 million of total revenue.
Though month-to-month revenue for the title is down, it’s still raking in almost $5 million per day and is the third highest game globally. Revenue generated for December should be interesting with new content like the Dragonspine region on the horizon.
