Genshin Impact’s next big update is coming later this month and adds the new Dragonspine region. However, update 1.2 will also carry a number of quality of life features and improvements. Among these are a chat function for speaking to friends without actually entering the game (via the Friends screen).

Other handy features include a note that will keep track of friends who change their nicknames; the ability to track and navigate to Custom Pins marked on the map; and, perhaps best of all, the ability to repeat Domains without having to leave and re-enter. Those annoyed about manually adding Domain and Ley Line Outcrops rewards to their inventory can also take heart. These will be added straight to one’s inventory in the coming update.

For more details on update 1.2, check out the Developer’s Discussion on the same here. Genshin Impact is currently available for PS4, iOS, Android and PC with a Nintendo Switch version in the works. It’s also playable on PS5 with 60 FPS support. Stay tuned for more details on the next update in the coming weeks.
